3 Types of Vitamins

Recently I received a very brief, but to the point, quality comparison of the 3 types of vitamins that are available to the consumer. When I talk to someone new about a supplement she is taking, I encourage her to really investigate the supplement company, the quality of the supplement, clinical testing and studies conducted, the company's manufacturing practices, safety of the ingredients, etc.

Could Your Vitamins be Killing You?

I ran across this interesting article written by an author named Denise McKinley. I wanted to share her article because it contains some compelling information on synthetic vitamins and how they differ from natural whole food vitamins and supplements:

Billions are being spent annually on vitamin and mineral supplements. It can also be argued that never in history has so much money been spent on the advertising and purchasing of any merchandise, with so little knowledge of the product itself, on the part of either the seller or the buyer.

Most consumers and even salespeople know the difference between a synthetic, a crystalline, and a truly natural whole food vitamin.

I feel that the following information is essential for you to read and hope that it will provide you with enough information and clinical evidence so that you can make an educated decision on the health and well being of you and your family members.

You can trace every ailment, every sickness and every disease to a vitamin and mineral deficiency. Dr. Linus Pauling, renowned scientist and two time Nobel Prize Winner

Chronic conditions like cancer and heart disease take decades to develop. So do wrinkles and fuzzy brains. The core foundation of how Young you feel, how much Energy you have, how healthy you remain and are able to function all starts with proper nutrition.

Operation Clean-Up!

This past week, my 6 year old son brought a bad stomach virus into our home and, well...you know the rest of the story. This nasty virus ran rampant through our family of four within a matter of 48 hours leaving us exhausted and weak. As you know, this virus is bad enough on your family, but then comes the part where you need to clean and disinfect before anyone else can walk into your home.

To rid our home of these germs I turned to Shaklee's Basic G. It is a concentrated quaternary ammonium-based germicide and cleaner that is safe for your family and the environment. Basic G cleans, disinfects and deodorizes, so there is no need to use multiple products to clean and kill the germs and viruses.

Basic G does not contain chlorine so the fumes won't knock you out and it kills mold, mildew and over 40 pathogens including Salmonella, Chlamydia, Listeria, Staphylococcus (MRSA) and Staphylococcus (VISA), Streptococcus, HIV-1, Herpes Simplex I and II.

In addition to being green and safe, Shaklee's Basic G is an excellent product for the bathroom, kitchen and pet areas. One quart of Basic G makes up to 64 gallons and it's also EPA registered.

Shaklee Customers Shown To Be More Healthy

The first ever long-term supplement usage study was conducted in 2007 at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health. The study results demonstrated that people who took Shaklee supplements had markedly better health than people who took either an off the shelf multivitamin or no supplements at all.

Exercise Sitting Down

These days most people in America are sitting a minimum of 8-9 hours a day. This much lack of movement can be bad for your health, so no wonder it can be a challenge to stay in shape.

We found this website that lists several exercises you can do sitting down at a desk, on a bus or a train. It's not going to turn you into a decathlon champion, but every little bit helps. Check this out: Sit-Down Fitness
